SMILE!
Mar.21.2011 12:31
Today, MOMA design store made me smile...a little too much. Look what I picked up!

If you were an 80/90s teen, you’d understand how important mix tapes were to your budding love life. How good your tape was often determined whether you got your girl/guy or not. I love how Enormous Champion did a re-mix of this idea on paper. SMILE!

Meet CAO MARU! The stress relieve ball that reminds you to always SMILE!

When he made me laugh aloud non-stop at the MOMA store, that’s when I decided to take him home. SMILE!

NOAH’S ARK by IGOLLFINI DELLA NONNA

Looks like Dipped Candy!

Chigo Playthings Bowling set
Imagine a room full of playthings arranged in floor to ceiling bookcases on all walls with rollling ladders. Big wooden chests on the floor with a mini corner of picture libraries, mostly children’s book, fill the room with warmth and color. I do. I imagine =)

Sunrise
Sep.27.2010 10:10
Yesterday morning, we caught the sunrise at Jones Beach around 7am doing our SS2011 shoot. Although we were running on 3 hours of sleep, it was all worth it. Below are some shots we didn’t use. The light during the morning hours were perfect. No photoshop needed.

And this is how cold the water is.

S/S11 presentation
Sep.25.2010 12:23
Yesterday was great. We presented at the Gates with Sam n’ Jo’s help. Although our collection was small, Annie and I are super happy with it. We also showed the exclusive pieces that we designed for FashionStake. Our models are all so beautiful. They were either our friends or friend of friends. What can we say? We know beautiful girls, inside and out. They helped us out so much by doing it for free. Tsuyoshi and team, our hair and makeup artist for the past 3 seasons, also helped us for basically free. He ran here with his crew after a shoot and crunched out 8 beautiful girls in 1.5 hours. Myriam worked really hard to organize this event and make the presentation as close to our wishes as possible. Her aesthetics are definitely in sync with ours and we are super sad that she’ll be moving to London next week. Not only did we have help from pretty girls, Raul or dj Neon Rider made a mix just for our presentation. To all of our friends who came out to support us, we are truly grateful because we know a lot of you stood in line for a long time just to see our 5 min. presentation. All in all, Annie and I love you guys and can’t thank you enough for all the unconditional support and love.
Thank you.

A 'lil sketch

I sketched this right when I got out of Parsons. The reference was either ID or High Fashion Magazine. Can’t remember. I wish I had all day to think about nothing and sketch. Maybe sometime soon =)

WOW! Look at how awesome this is. Unless you have a family or cooking for a party, why would you need a full size food processor when you can get a mini one!? Thank you cuisinart for thinking of city dwellers, bird-eaters, dieters, and singl-ers I must get a green one. WEEEEEE!

Being a Kid.
Sep.14.2010 10:42
When we were very little, I remembered playing with wooden toys that were in colored shapes. I think you had to put them in the corresponding holes of a wooden box. As we got older and became just ‘little,’ toys became mostly plastic, such as Legos, Fisher Price kitchen sets, and cabbage patch kids. The only wooden toy I remember now is Jenga, and that is still one of the greatest games ever...sober or not. I can never imagine what it is to be like a kid growing up in a digital world. Do they still go out to playgrounds as we did? Run around, unsupervised, to the park and play pirate ship on slides with pebble rocks as water? Do they still build tents out of grandma’s sheets under big office tables at home and get in trouble? Do they still play hide-n-go seek and hide in the laundry baskets. I hope they do.
So, it’s really nice to see toy makers still in existence, especially crafting wooden toys that will last forever.
